Nayanika Ghosh is a highly accomplished Kathak dancer, teacher, and choreographer known for her distinctive style and deep-rooted passion for Indian classical dance. She embarked on her journey in Kathak at the age of five under the guidance of prominent teachers such as Smt. Rani Karnaa, Pt. Vijay Shankar, and Pt. Chitresh Das. Her training took a significant turn with direct mentorship from the legendary Pt. Birju Maharaj, which greatly influenced her artistic development.

Beyond Kathak, Nayanika's artistic pursuits extended to Hindustani vocal training under Smt. Samyukta Ghosh and additional guidance from figures like Pt. Rajendra Gangani, Padmabhusan Kalanidhi Narayan, Pt. Shankar Ghosh, Shankar Narayanswamy, and Vidushi Kanak Rele in various aspects of dance and performance. Her artistic versatility is evident in her exploration of contemporary, Jazz, and Ballet forms, collaborating with international luminaries like Paul Taylor, Gills Chuyen, Christy Blyther, Katja Winzeler, and Nikki Constandis.

Nayanika is the founder-director of Ninaad Foundation, aimed at nurturing and promoting Indian Classical Dance and music, with centers in Kolkata and Gurgaon. Her journey is marked by a deep commitment to preserving and evolving the rich traditions of Indian classical dance, coupled with a dynamic exploration of new artistic frontiers and cultural exchange on a global scale.
